Mario D'Alimonte - Director

Specializing in training performers in all areas of stage craft we welcome
 Mario D'Alimonte as Director for our 2017-2018 Season.

Mario is an actor, director, and teacher of theatre, he graduated with a B.A., from the University of Toronto Theatre Program. He brings to our production an incredible passion for sharing his wealth of experience accumulated over the years. Having been on both sides of the stage his show credits as Director includes thirty six shows titles expanding a wide range of dramas, comedies and musicals. Mario's additional training includes ACTRAWORKS – Various Workshops (including Camera Technique, On-Camera Auditions) ,Theatre Ontario – Workshops (including Storytelling for the Theatre, Advanced Scene Study), Sears and Switzer’s Acting and Scene Study workshops, The Actors Workshop – Various Classes.

Mario has performed in thirty nine plays, from Shakespeare to Beckett to Neil Simon, winning the following awards and nominations:
  • Thea Award - Best Actor in a Leading Role (Musical)
  • Thea Award Nomination - Best Supporting Actor (Drama)
  • Theatre Ontario Award - Best Actor in Leading Role (Comedy)
  • Thea Award – Best Actor in a Leading Role (Comedy)

  • Thea Award - Adjudicator’s Award for Outstanding Acting and Directing
  • Thea Award Nomination - Best Supporting Actor (Comedy) 
  • Thea Award - Best Actor in a Leading Role (Drama)
