Who We Are...

Unionville Theatre Company was originally founded in 1979 as “The Little People’s Theatre of Unionville” when local resident Mike Johnston saw that local teens needed an opportunity to develop their creative talents.  Since that time UTC has consistently provided excellent theatre to the community.

We produce one major musical each year, which runs at the end of February much to the delight of thousands of patrons.

Unionville Theatre Company is a not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer board. The board is supported by many great volunteers who give so generously of their time.

Our Mission:

Engaging theatre for the Community from within the Community.

UTC is grateful for the opportunity to participate in artsVest program, which forges partnerships between arts and business communities.Thank you Business for the Arts for the workshop and support you provide.

We would like to thank the York Region Arts Council for their generous grant to support development of this website. Without their support we could not have developed this site to help us to build awareness of Unionville Theatre Company.

"...It is important for a community to have organizations like this one that not only provide an excellent entertainment product but do so much to enhance and encourage the arts in the community..."
